A MEMORABLE OUTING – DESTINATION, RASHTRAPATI NILAYAM

KENNEDY HIGH the global school stepped into the year 2025 with an educational trip that unlocked new experiences for the students.

On 3 January 2025, students of Class VIII CBSE and Grade 8 CIE, got a unique opportunity to visit Rashtrapati Nilayam, the official residence of the President of India in Hyderabad, to witness the grandeur of the Udyan Utsav. The trip aimed to educate the students about the history, architecture and significance of this iconic building.

Students and teachers departed for this exciting journey early in the morning. Upon arrival at the Rashtrapati Nilayam, the group underwent a security check before entering the premises. Rashtrapati Nilayam was adorned with vibrant blooms and lush greenery as part of the Udyan Utsav celebration. Students were fascinated by the stunning architecture and beautifully maintained gardens, the official residence, Kitchen Tunnel, Floral Clock, to name just a few.

Students were taken on a guided tour of the estate where they explored the grand architecture, sprawling gardens and various rooms of the building. Notably, the students observed the lavish furnishings, historical artefacts and artwork that adorned the walls of the residence. Students were spell bound by the variety of flora and scenic beauty of the surroundings. The notice boards placed at regular intervals provided valuable information about the history and significance of the presidential residence. Students were really impressed by the strict security measures in place and functioning of the building.

This trip to Rashtrapati Nilayam was a resounding success, providing students an enriching experience. Students returned to school with a new found appreciation for Indian history and architecture. The experience left the students with a sense of pride in India’s rich legacy.
