MATHEMATICS DAY CELEBRATED AT KENNEDY HIGH
To honour the accomplishments of Sri. Srinivasa Ramanujan, Government of India declared 22 December as mathematics day, in the year 2012.
This auspicious day marks the importance of mathematics in everyone's life and inspires people to develop their self- learning skills. It also pushes the young minds to think rationally.
Sri Ramanujan was born in Erode, Tamil Nadu in the year on 22 December,1887 and died when he was only 32 years old, in the year 1920.
His discoveries impacted several areas of mathematics such as infinite series, mathematical analysis, number theory, continued fractions and even Game Theory. The most fascinating among Ramanujan's discoveries is the number 1729, popularly known as Ramanujan- Hardy Number.
To make the children aware of the various accomplishments of Sri Ramanujan, National mathematics day was celebrated at KENNEDY HIGH the global school. Students from class I to XII CBSE and Grade 1 to A level of CAIE participated in mathematical quizzes and competitions.
