The students of KENNEDY HIGH the Global School participated in IIMUN 2019 (India’s Movement to Unite Nations), a platform for the youth to hone their skills in diplomacy, cooperation, critical thinking, public speaking, leadership alacrity and research through simulation of governmental and international bodies. After weeks of training and research, 67 students from grade 9-12 of CBSE and CAIE attended the three day-event at AKSHARA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL, Hyderabad. “IIMUN has helped us develop skills like learning about the world, interacting with people and fighting diplomatically I have sincerely wanted to develop these skills,” said the students. They participated with great enthusiasm and an inspiring aim of promoting creativity through their outstanding performance. Believing that courage can make their dreams come true, students confidently attended the competition and brought laurels to the school after competing with many schools from around Hyderabad. While, Indira Pranavi from AS level CAIE, Srija Guda from grade 10 CAIE, Tvesa Medh from class X CBSE, Saniya Syed from class IX CBSE along with Pranav.R, Aditya Sahoo and Vasu Dixit from grade 9 CAIE won the Best delegate in their respective committees, Sri Pranavi from grade 9 CAIE, Nabaa Patel from grade AS level CAIE, Prisha from grade 9 CAIE, Kingshuk from class X CBSE got the high commendation title. Pavani from class XI CBSE, Tarun Kulkarni from class IX CBSE and Nishad of A level CAIE chipped in by receiving the special mention. All the other students were given participation certificates and certificates of excellence. KENNEDY HIGH the Global School also took home the Best School trophy. The winners were applauded and encouraged for the efforts they put in. As many as 31 students attending the next round of IIMUN Championship at Aamby Valley (International), Mumbai from August 15-18.
